Gmail Offers Multiple “Inboxes”

Google added a new feature to Gmail which will allow users to have multiple “inboxes.”

As the term implies, users will have the option to add as much as 5 additional panes on their Gmail screen. Each additional pane will serve as a new “inbox” which users can tag regarding to their preference.

For instance, one inbox will serve as the regular inbox while other “inboxes” can be categorized according to starred, labels or search results.

However, even though Google decided to call the additional panes as “inboxes,” they don’t exactly have the same control as the regular inbox such as deleting messages. Deleting directly from the additional “inboxes” by checking it and pressing delete will not work.

To enable this new feature, simply choose the following: Settings > Labs > Multiple Inboxes > Enable > Save Changes.
